This is the first time ever I have posted a film late! Really sorry guys things are hugely busy here, and on top of all that I’ve been sick.
But less complaining and more stills, hope to have one tomorrow but not sure if Ill be able to get one done in time!
lol@ the Apocalypse Now title. Youre right thought it looks alot like the famous Kurtz shot.
Yeah I was struggling to find a more objective description, but I remember thinking in the cinema that it was very evocative of Kurtz, both in how it was lit and also you have a “madman” spouting rhetoric which both makes sense but is deeply flawed.
Great looking film, and very good cinematography especially for a superhero film. In this case, obviously it isn’t, it’s actually a crime-thriller. The background of the screenshot from the scene when the Joker burns the pile of money is phenomenal, because it makes you feel that they’re in Hell. This is even more accentuated by the Joker’s dialogue and his intentions.
If you’re interested in some Al Pacino film, I have in my collection Carlito’s Way and Scarface, and many screencaps of each one. What do you think about those films?
I really like the money burning scene, it is definitely otherworldly, hellish even.
I should be doing those Pacino movies at some point, will probably do a Briand De Palma week soon!
Huh… only just realised. How does Harvey Dent manage to get the same burnt suit he wore at the explosion? Wouldn’t they have cut it off him or something?
